This Chinese company recently confirmed by releasing a teaser that the successor to the P50 Pocket will be unveiled next week. Not much is known about its specifications, other than the fact that it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 4G, the same chipset that powers the P50 Pocket.
Huawei’s new foldable phone is called Huawei pocket s folding phone and will be available in at least four different colors, blue, green, pink and yellow. According to previous rumors, Huawei is expected to launch a slightly cheaper version of the Pocket S, which will have a lower Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor.
Although it’s less powerful than the Snapdragon 888, this mid-range chipset adds 5G support to the phone, so it’s a deal that will appeal to many. Obviously, this system will come with HarmonyOS operating system, at least in China. If Huawei decides to bring it to Europe, the phone will likely use EMUI 12, but without Google Play services.

Chinese telecom giant Huawei has announced that it will hold a new product launch event on November 2, during which it will officially unveil its second vertically foldable smartphone. This model will not be named “P50 Pocket New” as previously speculated by industry analysts. The company is abandoning this series by adopting a new product name, “Pocket S”.
According to an official promotional video, the Huawei Pocket S will be targeted at younger consumers. Each letter of “POCKET” has a different color, indicating that the new model will be available in six colors: black, blue, pink, white, green and yellow.
According to previously leaked information, the Huawei Pocket S will have two chipset versions that will be equipped with the Snapdragon 778G 4G processor or the Snapdragon 8+ 4G processor. However, for now, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s Smart Device Library have certified only one model, so the processor version will be important at the conference.

A Chinese digital blogger has reported that the Huawei Pocket S will be priced around 6,000 yuan ($826) and will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 778G chipset. Huawei Pocket S is also expected to be equipped with Huawei’s own imaging brand XMAGE, which mainly focuses on optical systems, imaging technology, photo processing and other areas.
