Cameras:
There were old rumors that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 would have three exterior cameras, although now such words seem false.
New leaks from Yogesh Brar point to a 12MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP selfie camera. These are the same cameras we got with last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 3.
It was a real shame because the Galaxy Z Flip 3 didn’t take great photos. The cameras were undoubtedly usable, but they didn’t match the phone’s price and fell short of Samsung’s usual quality.
Some leaks claim that the Flip 4 will use an under-screen selfie camera, just like the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
While an under-screen camera wouldn’t be a huge surprise, a traditional perforated lens seems more likely. After all, this is supposed to be Samsung’s “budget” fold.

There’s no official word from Samsung on the Flip 4 yet, but we’ve seen rumors of possible dates and can look at previous models to give us a rough estimate.
Last year, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 launched alongside the Z Fold 3 in August, and Samsung is expected to take a similar approach this time, launching the Flip 4 alongside the Z Fold 4.

Interestingly, Samsung has ordered 8.7 million panels – up from 5.1 million last year – which means it plans to sell even more Flip this time.
We have heard similar reports from The Elec, which said in May that Samsung had begun mass production of components to produce more than 10 million foldable components, 70% of which are Z Flip 4 models.
Will it be the Z Flip 4 or the Flip 4? An interesting wrinkle this year is that Samsung might change its naming convention.
The company removed the “Z” from the names of its foldable in some markets without explanation – although some believe this may have been in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with the “Z” symbol sometimes used by Russian armed forces.
Either way, there’s speculation that the company could ditch the ‘Z’ entirely, leaving behind its base next-gen foldable Galaxy Flip 4.

It would be cleaner and more straightforward and indeed a welcome change in our eyes, but so far, there’s little concrete evidence that a brand change is on the cards globally: chipset, RAM, and storage.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor in the Z Flip 3 may be upgraded to the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Still, it seems more likely that the Flip 4 will use the upcoming 8 Gen 1+, as predicted by multiple leakers, including The Galox and universe.
