Full Technical Specification of Galaxy Z Flip 4 Leaked

We are still not satisfied with Samsung’s foldable phones. But last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 3 scored an 8/10 in our rigorous review – it wasn’t perfect, but it offered a compelling look into the future.

And much to our excitement, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 4 may give us a more in-depth look at what’s to come.

Let’s get one thing out of the way; the first leaks show that Samsung will only make incremental changes to the foldable version this year.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 come with a few minor updates and should look identical to their predecessors. You can always visit our official website to learn more about our new products and accessories.

You can even check all the specs of the phone you want on the jbq.ae website—galaxy Z Flip details. The price remains a mystery so far. And although the Galaxy Z Flip 3 retails for around $999, there’s no guarantee that Samsung will maintain that price for the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

Chip shortages, rising logistics costs, and other hurdles could affect the price of all new smartphones. However, 2022 is quite an unpredictable year. We won’t be surprised if Samsung delays its new foldable.

Design:

According to early leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will look like its predecessor. That said, Samsung could make a few minor design tweaks to make this pup worth upgrading.

Most leakers agree that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will use a 6.7-inch foldable display, the same screen as last year.

However, an improved hinge could give the phone a tighter gap when closed. And like previous versions, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 should have a less annoying crease. And oddly, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 might be a bit thicker than its predecessor.

Mobiles experts expect the phone to measure 165.1 x 71.9 x 7.2mm when unfolded (7.2mm wide, down from 6.9mm).

According to the information, the phone will have a larger battery of 3700 mAh (previously 3200 mAh), which could explain the thicker construction.

Cameras:

There were old rumors that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 would have three exterior cameras, although now such words seem false.

New leaks from Yogesh Brar point to a 12MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP selfie camera. These are the same cameras we got with last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 3.

It was a real shame because the Galaxy Z Flip 3 didn’t take great photos. The cameras were undoubtedly usable, but they didn’t match the phone’s price and fell short of Samsung’s usual quality.

Some leaks claim that the Flip 4 will use an under-screen selfie camera, just like the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

While an under-screen camera wouldn’t be a huge surprise, a traditional perforated lens seems more likely. After all, this is supposed to be Samsung’s “budget” fold.

We expect the Galaxy Z Flip 4 to launch in August or September, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Pricing is still unknown, although Samsung will likely tip last year’s $ 999 price point. We’ll update this article as we learn more about the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

There’s no official word from Samsung on the Flip 4 yet, but we’ve seen rumors of possible dates and can look at previous models to give us a rough estimate.

Last year, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 launched alongside the Z Fold 3 in August, and Samsung is expected to take a similar approach this time, launching the Flip 4 alongside the Z Fold 4.

Famous leaker Jon Prosser predicted precisely that. It says the Flip 4 will be announced on August 10 alongside the Fold 4, with pre-orders starting that day, and both phones go on sale on August 26.

More Details About the Galaxy Z Flip

This is particularly plausible as display industry expert Ross Young reported that Samsung began shipping display panels for the Flip 4 in April, the same month it started sending the Flip 3 last year, suggesting that the company has the same hours.

Interestingly, Samsung has ordered 8.7 million panels – up from 5.1 million last year – which means it plans to sell even more Flip this time.

We have heard similar reports from The Elec, which said in May that Samsung had begun mass production of components to produce more than 10 million foldable components, 70% of which are Z Flip 4 models.

Will it be the Z Flip 4 or the Flip 4? An interesting wrinkle this year is that Samsung might change its naming convention.

The company removed the “Z” from the names of its foldable in some markets without explanation – although some believe this may have been in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with the “Z” symbol sometimes used by Russian armed forces.

Either way, there’s speculation that the company could ditch the ‘Z’ entirely, leaving behind its base next-gen foldable Galaxy Flip 4.

It would be cleaner and more straightforward and indeed a welcome change in our eyes, but so far, there’s little concrete evidence that a brand change is on the cards globally: chipset, RAM, and storage.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor in the Z Flip 3 may be upgraded to the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Still, it seems more likely that the Flip 4 will use the upcoming 8 Gen 1+, as predicted by multiple leakers, including The Galox and universe.
