All The News and Rumors Related to iPhone 14
In this article, we are going to cover all the news and rumors about Apple’s next-generation flagships, namely the iPhone 14 series.
Since Apple introduces new iPhone models in the fall, it is expected that Apple also introduces iPhone 14 in fall 2022.
It is more likely Apple introduces four new iPhones in 6.1 and 6.7-inch sizes.
The unofficial iPhone 14 trailer illustrated that Apple is eliminating the mini-iPhone as it turned out to be unpopular with customers.
Therefore, two of those iPhones will be a standard models called the iPhone 14 and 14 Max, and the other two will be the higher-end “Pro” models called the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

Since 2017, Face ID has been used in iPhone devices, which have had a notch at the front to house all the necessary equipment for facial scanning, but based on the rumors, in iPhone 14 Pro models, the notch will be eliminated.
It is more likely Apple will go with some combination of a circular hole-punch cutout for the camera paired with a pill-shaped cutout to the house to key Face ID components.
Unfortunately, this feature will be only for the Pro models, and the standard iPhone 14 models will have a standard notch.

The Camera
The rear camera will be redesigned.
According to the news, Apple will introduce a thicker body that causes the camera bump to be eliminated.
If this happens, the lenses, flash, and LiDAR scanner could sit flush with the rear glass.
Apple always improves the features of the camera, and the iPhone 14 will be no exception.
According to what we have heard, there will be improvements to the Ultra-Wide camera, and it is more likely Apple will introduce a “periscope” zoom lens allowing for much greater optical zoom.
The iPhone Pro could also be equipped with 48-megapixel cameras and 8K video recording capabilities.
Titanium Material
A titanium frame may be used in some of the new iPhones. Titanium has been used for the Apple Watch, but this would the first time that Apple want to use the titanium material for an iPhone.
Promotion Display
Based on early iPhone 14 rumors, all four iPhone 14 models coming in 2022 could use Promotion displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz, but it looks like that’s not going to happen.
It seems that Apple wants to use Promotion technology only for the iPhone 14 Pro models.
In September, Apple introduced the iPhone 13 series including iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
While the Pro Series models used a 120Hz refresh rate with an LTPO display, the standard models and the iPhone 13 Mini were equipped with a 60Hz refresh rate.
Apple will use LTPO OLED displays for the iPhone 14 Pro models so that 120Hz Promotion refresh rates will be possible.
Although Apple used the OLED panels which are supplied by Samsung for the iPhone 13 Pro models, Apple is planning to also use LG Display and BOE in 2022.
This panel provides the refresh rate to vary between 10 and 120 Hz.
When the user surfs the Internet, 10Hz refresh rate will be activated, while the user watches the video, 60 Hz refresh rate will be activated, or since the user plays the game, 120 Hz refresh rate will be activated, which means that the refresh rate can be adjusted according to the type of consumption. Therefore, such a possibility will significantly reduce energy consumption.
RAM of iPhone 14
There are some reports that the iPhone 14 Pro may use 8 GB RAM.
However, the latest news indicates that all four models of the iPhone 14 series will have 6 GB RAM.
This could be a positive change for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max.

a new vapor chamber thermal system may be used in iPhone 14 that will keep the iPhone cooler to minimize the impact of faster chips and 5G connectivity.
By 2022, a vapor chamber (VC) thermal system will be used in high-end iPhone models, which Apple has been working on.
Since the high-end iPhones are equipped with stronger computing power hardware and faster 5G connection speeds hardware, The VC thermal system is suitable for these smartphones.
Companies like Samsung, Razer, and LG have used vapor chamber cooling technology in their smartphones.
It should be noted that we don’t know whether or not the VC system is able to meet Apple’s high requirements, but Apple has been working on improving it.
Wi-Fi 6E Technology
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuohe, iPhone 14 is more likely to use the feature of Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
Wi-Fi 6E will provide the high-speed wireless transmissions necessary for AR and VR experiences, and it is also expected to be used in the mixed reality headset that could come out in 2022.
No Physical SIM Slot
A physical SIM slot may be eliminated from the iPhone 14 models. Based on the latest news, Apple recommended major U.S. carriers produce SIM cards for smartphones by 2022.
Since eSIM functionality does not support all countries, iPhones should sell their products in countries that will offer a nano-SIM slot.
60 countries around the world can support eSIM, with a list available on Apple’s website.

Snapdragon X65 Modem
It is also expected that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X65 chip is used in iPhone 14.
It should be noted that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X65 chip is the first 10-gigabit 5G modem with faster connectivity speeds and connectivity improvements.
Moreover, Apple will use new satellite-based emergency features that will help users in emergencies by sending texts and reporting accidents with no cellular coverage.
iPhone 14 Launch Date
based on previous launch timelines, Apple will be more likely to introduce the iPhone 14 models in September 2022.
It should be noted that most iPhone events take place between the first and second week of September.
