What about the disadvantages of wireless charging? There are a few worth mentioning. Firstly, wireless charging is not still really wireless. Do you know why? Because even your portable devices can be charged while sitting on the wireless charging pad, the pad itself must be plugged, right? Therefore, there is still a lot to come in the future to make wireless charging technology more advanced. 

 

Secondly, another important constraint associated with wireless charging is that you would not be able to use the device while it is being charged, in contrast to wired charging as your device can be used and charged at the same time. Thirdly, compared to new wired technologies that have provided very fast charging, wireless charging pads are not every time-effective. This might bother you a lot especially when you are in a hurry. However, it should be noted that the output of modern wireless charging pads is very close to the wired ones.  

 

Wireless charging technologies have been established for several years. However, they are not still as popular as their wired counterparts. Therefore, they are still much more expensive compared to wired chargers. The more available the technologies become, the cheaper they become but not currently!

Although it is true in some models in only some brands, the loss of energy will be minimized when the coil is designed professionally and the components have high quality.
